DomainGroups allows grouping of existing domains of same client into single search source. For example: if client ‘A’ has www.aaa.com, www.bbb.com creating a domain group and adding these 2 domains allows providing search results from www.aaa.com, www.bbb.com. The search results can be accessed from 1) self hosted link 2) WebVeta integration HTML on www.aaa.com or www.bbb.com 3) MCP server. This feature allows organizations that have content across multiple domains to show relevant search results. The same feature can be used by multiple organizations that want to cross promote services.
When using DomainGroups a new dataid starting with “d-“ gets provided and the new dataid needs to be used. Using the dataid from the domain settings page shows search results from the domain. Using dataid from DomainGroup shows search results from all the domains in the DomainGroup.
